It’s because it takes up room and dilutes their calorie intake and also since their kidneys are so small they’re at high risk for water intoxication

My baby cousin, she's nine months now but let me tell you and I'm so deadass she was able to drink out of straws, hold her bottle and use a sippy cup at five months. Sitting up and socializing aswell

after i had my baby i was told to not give her just water until she’s 6months because it lacks nutrients and they can get water poisoning but also since their little bodies aren’t used to just water
