I ended up on the ground, broken watch and district policy says they don’t have to pay for anything broken or stolen on school property. Also have had my catalytic converter cut off too

I’ve gotten hurt and they refused to pay medical bills or give me paid time off because technically we’re not supposed to touch them.

I’ll break up fights when I get paid like a UFC referee. It’s not worth the risk to break up the fights.

Two girls were fighting. Students broke it up and i was tending to a girl that was bleeding. The other girl snuck me from behind. I went right on to the police department and filed charges. 🤷🏽♀️

I was told that if i voluntarily break up a fight and get injured, the insurance wouldn’t cover me. It was also a liability to the school if i or a kid got injured. So infuriating

So many procedures, but still SO MANY things that are never clarified. Like what to do with kids grades that transfer in the last 2 weeks of the quarter/semester, if a student has conflict with someone but it’s already an open behavioral case, do I need to document anything if they’re venting to me? 🤷🏽♀️

I got in trouble for grabbing a kids wrist TOO hard while they were throwing punches!!!!! I should have been lighter and had to go to training. Next time I’m just going to let them beat each other
