@jadedoutch: Sharing again cos i finally got around to making a full shopping list. **DIY Panelling** I opted to go horizontally this time as the wall isn’t very big… if you have a larger wall than the panel size then I wouldn’t advise laying them this way as your joins will defo show up. In that case opt to vertically lay them or alternatively you can buy strips of mdf and attach each strip separately… like I did in my spare room at home. DETAILS: I bought the pre made panel from Travis Perkins in the V-grove design. They’re 8foot by 4foot each and cost £44+VAT. If you’re attempted this on your own I’d strongly recommend picking up some foam insulation boards so you can lay the panel on the floor for cutting… it made the job so much easier and they’re dirt cheap. I also found the T shaped ruler super helpful for cutting out the plug holes and going forward it’s something I’ll use all the time for cutting. Materials I used; 1 x Shiplap V grove panel 1 x 3/1 timber (for the shelf) Glue Caulk Wood filler Eggshell paint… I opted for Rolling Fog from Little Greene Knotting solution Tools I used; Jigsaw Drill Nail gun L shaped ruler Pencil Level Hammer (never hammer direct onto the panel, use a scrap piece of wood as a buffer) I’ve added everything from this post to my LTK shop, link is in my bio.
