For those of us living abroad, it’s easy to forget that meat isn’t produced in plastic packaging. There’s no magical source like a chicken nuggets tree or a burger bush—meat always comes from animals. I believe it’s essential to teach our children about this, not to frighten them, but to help them appreciate the value of food. In Nigeria, every part of the chicken is utilized, from the throat to the gizzard to the feet, ensuring nothing is wasted. Growing up, I only ate certain parts like wings, legs, and breast, discarding the rest.
