Becoming ambidextrous was another form of masking. We adapt to fit the world because the world doesn't fit us, but then we spend our whole lives struggling and stressed and feeling like outsiders.

In 1990, I was the only left handed kid in my kindergarten class. I was taught to right only with my right hand. I can be ambidextrous but I shouldn’t have been forced to develop that skill.

in 4th grade my teacher lied to my parents about me doing g school work. she would throw away any work I completed with my left hand. she forced me to learn to write right handed.

Dad noticed me trying to color w my right. He asked y, I told him my teacher said I had to. Next day he spoke to her telling her I'm left and let me alone about it. 🤗

1980's I was hit w a ruler anytime I had a crayon pencil etc in my left hand and it placed in my right hand

My husband and I are both left handed but both of our boys are right handed. 🤷♀️

left-handed I write and use scissors, and eat with the left hand, everything else right hand only cause I was forced from junior school, my grandma used to tie my dads left hand behind his back cause she thought you were evil if you were left-handed.

my mum can write with both because she used to get the cane or ruler slapped on her left hand when she wrote with her left hand

My husband was forced to write with his right hand. If you look at his school reports where he has to comment,the year he was forced to change,his handwriting drastically changes for the worse 😭

my year 6 teacher made me choose a hand because I use to swap hands when writing when my hand got tired.

My uncle forced me to right with my right hand.. I was naturally a lefty and now have always been ambidextrous..

I was swapped over in infant school. I am ambidextrous. As I was forced to write with my right it’s my strongest hand for writing however I hold a pen very differently to everyone else!

My grandpa was left handed but forced to write with his non-dominant hand in school. It took him 4x longer to write things.
