@barefoot___wanderer: And just like that I’m ready for… POUR DAY! 🍾 I can’t even begin to explain what a long path it has been to get here 📍 From me deciding 2 months ago to complete the foundations for my house myself after getting quoted around 60k on numerous different quotes…💰 To this moment 2 months later where I have completed each stage of the foundations myself through following my engineered plans, the national building code and the Australian standards as well as hours on hours of research 🧐 It has not been easy, and there were times I had to push myself beyond limits I didn’t even think I had to get to this moment! But I’m finally here ✨ The marking, measuring, digging, reo, formwork, bracing, foundation bolts and levelling have all been completed and I can say with much excitement pour day is today! 🗓️ I’m by no means finished with the foundations… Pour day is going to be a challenge in itself without a pump and then the aftermath of removing the formwork and back filling the holes is going to be part of the final stage of the foundations! 🥵 But you better believe I’ve already been on the phone with the container guys to organise a date for the arrival of the containers! 🏠 (which I’ll tell you soon 🫢) Now let’s hope they can get them on the footings so I don’t have the extra job and expense of hiring a crane!🏗️ #containerhome #housefoundations #solobuild #diybuild #rebar #formwork #pourday
