Or you could have just used the correct lubricant for a lock and had it open in < 5 seconds. Don’t ever use WD-40 on locks….

wrong lube for a lock..use white lithium grease instead..whatever grease or lubricant that was inside the lock is now completely gone..even after WD dries up
