Meow, my cat (PJ) does my voiceover. Everyday she watches sew (sleeps on the job), so it’s only right she has a turn at my voiceover to prove all her sewing knowledge to her loyal fan base. So let PJ teach you how to do a French seam. 1. Sew your fabric wrong sides together I did 0.7cm for my first seam allowance 2. Trim your seam allowance, this makes it easier to sew your second seam in the same spot, and not have any fabric sticking out from your new seam 3. Press your fabric with your seam allowance to one side, depending on where the seam is in your garment, most seams are pressed towards the back of the body 4. Fold the fabric over, so your fabric is sandwiching your first seam, all raw edges will be enclosed and you should be now looking at the inside of your fabric 5. Sew again, I did 0.7cm again 6.
