@jake.dearden: Rest days I find rest days the most challenging aspect of fitness. You can only get stronger or faster from the sessions you recover from, therefore having downtime is going to help us progress faster. Taking 1-2 rest days per week is optimal in my opinion. Here's my advice for anyone in the same boat as me: Treat these rest days as serious as you would a training day and prioritise your recovery and planning for the week ahead. Focus points for rest days: - Fill out your day with fun stuff so you're not bored. - Eat a healthy high protein diet. - Plan out your week and when you're going to train. - Plan your food. - Spend 15 minutes stretching. - Spend time relaxing. - Get a good nights sleep. 7-9 hours if possible. I hope this helps 🙌 #restdays #fyp #fitnesstips
