Facts, I use a metal sponge which has less friction. I also make sure my hair is moist. I’m really focused on growing my fair so I only style it maybe once a week.

Yeah I literally scrubbed a bald spot in my head at one point using the sponge too much 😭 tbh if you want that nappy look just get comb coils and let em be. You’ll get the same look

They don’t moisturize the hair. Just cause we men don’t mean we can’t take care of our crowns too. Wash your hair, condition, and moisturize and or find a routine that works best for you

I use a rubber-like sponge w. conditioners unless it's already twisted since it's easy to re-up. I used to do it everyday but now just rock a fro til I feel like having the twists. Love this advice!

STOP USING SPONGES AND GET A METAL CURL COMB!! You gotta wash, condition and comb it out at least once a week when you use these things. it's been a long blind journey for me but I'm learning as I go
