In PA it’s the same as NY prepared food. The supermarkets put hot food in the fridge so they can be sold. My neighborhood bakery takes EBT.

In California if you are registered as Homeless you can buy hot food with FS. Some grocery stores with Starbucks you can get Starbucks with FS.

in Illinois you can buy hot food but not everyone qualifies I think is if you homeless you can,not sure but I know some are eligible in Chicago

In Texas it's no hot foods but you can definitely buy bakery items! You can also use it at farmers markets if they're set up for it.

When I worked at Pizza Hut, we took EBT. You just have to be in the hot food program. That was in Cali.

Oregon lets you use them at farmers markets. But yeah it’s completely different in each state. There’s a waiver system that lets them customize.

yup CA u can buy hot foods, fast food places accept ebt out here. it's weird u cant buy like protein powder but u can buy protein shakes

In MD you can buy anything edible as long as it’s cold. For a while, tropical smoothe did ebt in my town idk if they still do.

The ebt card reads the scanner so depending on your state dictates what you can get. Like I can get Whole Foods prepared food cold but not from the hot bar even though it’s the same items.
