I feel like it would be too depressing for me in the US. I love walking or riding my bike literally to any part of the city. How horrible it must be to be forced to drive anywhere

Well. Depends on what you prefer. The American suburb looks tidier and calmer. I’ve lived in Euopean suburbs and they are loud.
