@chunka.munka: Replying to @Abby There is also a misophonia conference every year somewhere in the US! They usually pick a different city every year and it’s a great place to learn about current research, treatments, hear from people struggling, etc. Hope this helps🫶🏻 #fyp #misophonia #viral #Vlog #disability #disabilityawareness #soundsensitivity #foryou #foryoupage #share #awareness
I suffer from misophonia and misokinesia. I don’t wish it on anyone. I was surprised to find out that thousands of us deal with this.

During school, if you have really bad misophonia that you cant cope with, I use noise cancelling headphones attached to a receiver that is connected to a really small mic that I give to my teacher!!

It’s worst when I already have anxiety and overstimulated 🥺😭 it started when I was a teenager and it’s only gotten worst that I have to wear noise canceling headphones 24/7

I recently learned about this diagnosis when a coworker walked in my office and asked me to stop chewing and I was like 😧 at first, until she educated me 🥰

I had this when I had really awful anxiety in a situation where I was constantly in fight or flight. After leaving, it went away. But when I’m overstimulated it does come back.

It’s so true that most people don’t care. It’s hard to understand if you aren’t the one experiencing it

For me it causes physical pain I don’t know why but especially with chewing I can’t eat in the break room without earbuds and can’t even hear myself chewing

Yk I hate the sounds that people make with their mouth, I went to therapy bc it wasn’t even the chewing, IT WAS EVERYTHING, especially on TikTok when people are chewing and saying it’s asmr like when I hear them too I get so mad I’d literally internally freak out. It’s like nails on a chalkboard idek

students weren't allowed to eat in class but the teachers were. ice, chips, candy, and cups with straws. being stuck in a classroom for 8 hours of torture i strongly believe is what kept me from my best in school then coming home and the family just trying to make you snap and laughing. its awful
