@autistic_wildandfree: One of my favorite things about Lev is that when he is happy and excited, he shows it with his entire body! Because Lev is non verbal, we often play guessing games trying to figure out what it is he wants or needs. But when Lev stims, we don’t have to guess! His whole body actively and enthusiastically lets us know how he’s feeling and what sensory input he is seeking in that moment. And I don’t know how other children feel when they’re stimming, but Lev LOVES when you join him in his excitement and jump around and flap your hands right alongside of him. So we do. Who needs the gym?! it's okay if they stim while hitting themselves! My son does this and there is a "soft" hit and "hard" hit. it's really important to know which is which for your kiddo.🤟🏻🤟🏻 Looks like a happy boy!
