Der Führerschein an sich, also die Prüfungen und der Antrag kosten hier ca. 150€. Den Rest machen die Fahrstunden und der Unterricht auf. Gibt’s das in USA nicht?

That is why my wife, who has driven for 25 years in Portland, now has to redo theory and practical test again now she moved to Sweden... not allowed to drive after 1 year driving in Sweden.

I only know in Swedish kroner but there is one cost for the driving test and one for the writen test. but then you also pay for 2 classes that is mandatory then driving lessons

That’s misleading, first of all that cost includes drivers lessons and classroom tutorial A license there is good for 15 yrs though

Not true, 5 years ago it cost me 2.400€ and I live in one of the most expensive cities in Germany, it cost her 3.5k because she probably had to repeat school like 30 times

That €3500 is probably a 1 time payment for your drivers license and you don’t have to renew it for the rest of your life where the $25 is paid every year to renew that drivers license
