@charles_dowding: Soil and plants are making the most of every little bit of brightness and warmth, I’m pleased with growth so far and the apple blossom has lasted well. I’m keeping a cover on the onions for a while against allium leaf miner, and they are pushing up the fleece themselves, that’s near the beginning plus there’s a cover over some new 17 day plants of chard. In the cover photo is beetroot, covered with black netting against rabbits, and I shall need to net the lettuce as well. No dig has been brilliant for allowing great drainage of excess water, while conserving nutrients, and holding moisture whenever it’s dry.
