Yessss I grew up in FL and my mom always told us not to touch caterpillars. I live in Virginia and say that to my kids and my husband was like why they can’t get hurt.

in Virginia the only caterpillar I ever see those little black ones when you step on them green gut I have never seen a spiky caterpillar my life

I think they are regional. We have fizzy ones here but they aren’t spiky. So that’s terrifying and I’m so sorry

My grandma always told me they were like super venomous and if you got poked by one you could die so I was like TERRIFIED of any caterpillars that had fuzzy bits or horns on them

I’m a barefoot girl too but last night we had a huge a$$ wolf spider in our kitchen while I was making dinner and now I feel like I gotta wear shoes😭🙈💔 f them bugs😩

I stepped on a scorpion while barefoot a few summers ago. Ended up in the er because my entire leg went numb and I panicked 😅😅 SE Kentucky has scorpions,I guess 😂🤷🏼♀️

I wonder if those are the same as the fuzzy ones if so I heard put duct tape on it and rub down on it then pull it up fast it's supposed to remove the hairs that get in ur skin...hope u feel better 💙

BC, Canada here and I didn't know these were a thing until tik tok so as far as I know we only have normal caterpillars that don't sting but who knows 🤷♀️
