Similar thing here, almost 20 years invested, 2 wonderful kids, built her a home on 220 acres, retirement investments, supported her thru 8 years of college. She left took over half. Attny’s won $$.

Went back to school at the age of 57 to become an HVAC tech moved in with my sister and brother-in-law as I went to school became a plant manager and later and Engineer right there with your brother
