My dog had BAD separation anxiety AND crate trauma. But, I worked with her with a wire crate, and she LOVES her crate. She'll sass me if the door is closed and she can't get in.

just my perspective, an anxious dog in a crate is safer than an anxious dog lose in the house or (escapable) yard

Ugh thank you for mentioning that crates aren’t always the best option for dogs with separation anxiety, I feel so guilty that my dog has separation anxiety but crate training just made him scared

If desensitized to the crate in the beginning,and treated as a good thing, crates can prevent separation anxiety.

We leave our dog’s crate open and he loves it so much he lays in it all the time but my friend’s dog hates it and hurts himself in it

What brand do you recommend other than Impact? The kennel is still a good product and every pet should have one for travel. Their marketing is just inappropriate.

i completely agree this was a HORRIBLE choice on their end, but it’s so dangerous to encourage people to not use crates ❤️

A crate should be a comforting place for them. We crate all out dogs at night or if we need to leave them home alone. They love their crates because it's a safe space for them.
