My husband and I have boundaries, this is a hard no. I would be questioning how they got comfortable enough to be going to lunch?

When you're young you think "it's fine." With age & wisdom you knows it's 100% wrong.

Why do people automatically assume it's a "date." I used to eat lunch with my married coworker all the time. It was never a date. We just enjoyed the same foods & we were friends.

What????? Even during lunch hours. I have gone out multiple times with male coworkers in corporate. My husband has never questioned this and they were married too…

I don’t have a problem if the lunch is during work hours work break. It would be different if is a date setup outside of work hours.

My husband is an RN & goes to meetings. He used to go out with the others nurses. It's trust and love.

Im guessing this doesn’t apply to first responders because we all have one partner for the whole day and have to eat lunch together… no choice.

this gives my wife can't have Friends of the opposite gender vibes, and that's really said you can't have a trusting enough relationship where she can do that

Affairs always start from somewhere, having lunch alone with a co-worker is what I refer to as the foreplay to other things

this is how affairs start. neither goes into it with sinister plans but after a few lunches they develop feelings start complaining about their spouses to each other...

I dont see an issue with it! It really just depends on the relationship dynamic. And its better to know about it than to not

Husband used to go to lunch with two co-workers - one male, one female. Male moved away and I told him straight up he couldn't go out with her alone. I didn't have a good feeling about it at all.

This is crazy, if you work with someone and you’re just just going to lunch, that’s no big deal. Why the insecurity if you trust each other?
