Happened to me. ICBC used it to prove that the other person was 100% responsible for the crash. I will always have a dash cam.

Truck driver here. I have multiple hit and runs, camera been my only evidence. I also been brake checked SO MANY TIMES. Among driver complaints where it's shown I was not at fault. 🤷♂️

My dash cam reduces dangerous driving by existing. I spend many trips avoiding being hit, but the number of occurances goes down when my dash cam is up. correlation, possible bias. it's not plugged in

Ok, hear me out… a dashcam with a password protected memory. 1 passcode erases the footage, another unlocks it. But a wrong password just logs a failed attempt. Would it be legal?

For myself I think my cam would prove my innocence. If not I would swallow the Sd card. Get it back next day if really needed it 😂

I played dashcam video in open court that proved the officer's version of events could not have happened and the judge just said "well, it looked like you were speeding" and found me guilty anyway

I was parked in a parking lot and someone backed into me. They never saw my dash cam. The person admitted hitting a parked vehicle. Lucky enough not to have to go that route

Tesla has a total of eight cameras and they are always on. You can also do sentry mode if somebody’s damaging your vehicle.
