Dad told me in 9th grade he wasnt paying for my school. Not that he couldnt but he wanted me to own my life. Hold my head up & say that my adult life was of my own making. I did it & love him for it.

It’s worse - my kids couldn’t get student loans unless I co-signed - basically mortgaging my retirement on two sets or student loans or they didn’t go to collage.

Yes they are grown up adults, though if the parents didn’t teach them about finances and preparing them for the future. The parents end up buying their backpacks and lunchables til there 24
