@thecurlqveen: Many stylist do not like to deal with Black color removal (including myself) for many reasons. . The first being you never know what underneath and what’s going to pull. Since black is not a primary color it’s mixed with a bunch of hues to achieve the dark pigment. . Not to mention if there’s previous color underneath. . We did a thorough consultation about expectations and what could be done to her hair to not compromise integrity and what we’d be left with after lifting. . In total I did 15 foils. I wanted to keep her on the darker side, I knew our lift wouldn’t be that high. Her roots got to a level 7 ends level 6. Formula @moroccanoil clay lighter with 5 vol give up to 8 levels of lift. I love the consistency. It moves quick which is great in this instance. With her amount of hair I needed something would give me grace as I worked through. Toning with Permanent color.
