When you move anywhere, make a detailed list of issues with photos and give the report to the owner/management. Keep a copy for yourself. It's important to do this within 48 hours or before signing.

Having peace is so much more important. Even if the tenant was guilty, for a $7 know, I'd just replace it. It's part of the business expenses. Now if it keeps happening, that might be different.
