Read one until the dopamine runs out, switch. Repeat that until reading dopamine runs out and you switch hobbies

Honestly as a fellow ADHD, I’m always happiest when I’m allowed to let my brain just vibe and feel it out so I totally get this

Watching my grandmother navigate her brain was amazing. She almost certainly had ADHD. She taught me to work with it as well. She timed her hobbies by the TV.

every time I tell people I read several books at once they look at me like there's something wrong with me and I refuse to accept that it's not totally fine.

Yup. I after I was diagnosed, I just would say “follow the dopamine” and I also do crazy stuff like this.

Hyper focus. Which means I will do 1,000 piece puzzle in a day, lose all track of time, and forget to eat. Nothing else matters besides the dopamine of putting a piece together

I do something similar and I call it my "productive procrastination".I avoid doing task A by doing task B, then when I get tired of that I do a little of task G and then jump over to task D.

And I get the hyperfocus end of adhd - I don’t get to choose what that focus is, but once I’m in it, I’m in it until my brain says ok you can stop now
