Battery on, APU on, wait for greenlight, engine crank right, 20% RPM, right throttle lever to IDLE. Wait until right engine hits 65% RPM, engine crank to left, 20% RPM, left throttle lever to IDLE. Wait until left engine hits 65% RPM. APU shuts down immediately a minute after engine start. Turn on HUDS, open FCS page on right HUD, , press FCS reset button to clear ‘X’s, then press FCS-MC, press FCS reset button to reset FCS faults, press FCS again, PBIT page open, perform BIT test, hold BIT test lever, then press FCS OBS and control surfaces will begin testing. INS alignment page on bottom HUD, INS selector to GRD(ground), select stored heading = 90 seconds alignment. Once alignment completed, ‘OK’ emit next to GRD QUAL, INS selector to IFA. OBOGS on, flaps half, hook bypass to field, anti-skid on, Radar to OPERATE, Radar Altimeter to 200 ft, uncage standby attitude indicator(red flag removed), ALR-67 on, ECM standby, dispenser to ON, bingo fuel to 2000(mission respective), press IFF(identify friend-foe), and then hold ON. Align HUD, if JHMCS equipped, helmet fine alignment required. Arm ejection seat, Rudder trim reset, audible warning test and lights test (usually done at the beginning of startup), remove chocks, parking brake disengage, nosewheel steering button engaged, steer with rudder pedals to runway and done
