It is a hard drug. Side effects are worse than opioids.. it’s a good drug for neuropathy from diabetes.

It was prescribed for my chronic recurring shingles. It made my brain foggy and didn’t help pain. I work in a field where I have to be mentally sharp. So, it’s not for me.

I used carbamazepine for my Trigeminal neuralgia. When it flares up bad I take gabapentin as a breakthrough. It helps sometimes.
