That’s how I always saw it! Not sure how much flights are across the us but it wouldn’t make sense for me to fly to another country to watch someone - I’d stay in the uk!

I used to travel for concerts before Covid, but I live in a country that not many artists go to so I basically forced to travel if I want to see my favorite artists

The nearest show in the US was 5 hours of flying away from me.

Not only post Covid but since the rise of tik tok and sponsers getting tickets for influencers have influenced OTHER regular people to travel like that and make it an event. Ppl wanna be like them.

I love traveling for concerts. I went to Italy for my birthday last year. To see an Italian group. I think it makes the experience even better.

I think COVID emphasized the individualism that is inherent to the USA way of life. In regards to Eras Tour it’s most evident in how Europeans travel all over Europe for the tour (and a hand full

music tourism definitely is a growing industry right now. my hypothesis is it's because tours were on hold for 3 years so many artists are touring now and had more time to prepare

it was always an event in the uk, but you wouldn’t travel to one, unless you had a friend who lived there.

yeah spot on! i’ve seen people do it before covid but it was much more marginal, and shorter distance (usually within europe, not so much between the US and europe)

I’ve always traveled because I’m from a small country, and I always made it a weekend/week trip with whoever I went with, but no dressing up for concerts either, just what you’re comfortable with

I’ll travel if the show was on my actual birthday like Harry styles Munich show was in 2023 but I’ll usually go to the closest show

People are willing to travel across the world bc it’s Taylor Swift. If it was Michael Jackson, or Queen, or The Beatles doing a world tour with every era, people would travel just as far.

My family has always traveled for concerts if the artist isn't coming to my state/city (similar to if an artist isn't coming to a country in eu)

I never traveled for a concert in my life until last year, but my fav artist’s tour was not coming to Europe and I really wanted to see it… it was so expensive though I won’t be doing it again soon.

i've been travelling for concerts since 2018 bc i come from a small country that a lot of artists don't visit, but i wouldn't do it for tours where i had an option to go to a show in my own country

I follow an artist only if the shows are not sold out or people wanting to give out their unwanted tickets rather than buying those sceptical resales

I usually am willing to travel to my country's capital (2h away) for concerts because most of the time the concerts in my hometown either don't exist or have age limit that I don't yet meet
