LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, UNITED STATES 🇺🇸 A 92-year-old man has been charged after allegedly attempting to end his wife's life inside a senior living community in Louisville, Kentucky. Police identified the suspect as Bert Morris, who faces attempted m¥rder involving domestic violence and first-degree strangulation charges. According to court documents, the incident happened shortly after midnight on October 28 at StoryPoint Brownsboro retirement community. Investigators allege Morris placed a plastic bag over his wife's face and pinched her nose, preventing her from breathing. Police reportedly recovered video footage of the incident during their investigation. According to the arrest citation, Morris told investigators that she “needed to die.” The elderly woman was taken to a hospital, where she was reported unconscious. BUT THERE WAS ANOTHER ARREST. Authorities also arrested Terrence Gabie, identified in court documents as the woman's designated caregiver. Investigators allege Gabie recorded a 71-second video of the incident instead of assisting the woman. Another staff member reportedly intervened and separated the couple. Gabie faces a charge of knowingly abusing or neglecting a vulnerable adult. On October 29, Morris pleaded not guilty in court. His bond was reduced from $250,000 to $150,000. Gabie also pleaded not guilty and was released on a personal recognizance bond. Both men are scheduled to appear for preliminary hearings on November 6.
