And NEVER EVER FREAKING EVER run this contraption in the reverse position on the drill. The flexible drill shaft will take itself apart inside the vent, and life gets really interesting!!!

Pro tip: turn your dryer on when doing that. Creates positive air pressure so that it all gets blown out instead of settling in toward the dryer.

Great job good video. For anyone doing this, please inspect ur vent piping first. A lot of homes use flexible venting and the piping could get compromised while cleaning.

I use my leaf blower and blow air from the inside. There are actually videos and others as have posted on you tube on how to do it. A lot cleaner and faster

Definitely a code violation with gas meter being this close to dryer vent. possibly a source of ignition. I'd be more worried about that🤑🙏

Actually… new homes wouldn’t have any of that…mine didn’t. It was new. But when you move into a preowned house, you could get many problems.

That’s still not clean enough take the whole thing apart and clean it and clean the lint trap after every use you won’t have this issue

My dryer vents through the roof. I tried to clean it myself but no way I was getting in the roof. I do agree though, you need to clean them at least once a year, more if you have a big family.
