Get an education, but forget your dreams, be a surrogate mother for your husband, raise his children and be available for him whether you want to be or not.

An education is just one part, work experience matters just as much if not more, if they really cared they’d have truly championed women fully

Multiple boys asked me why I cared so much about my education while attending BYU. One said, “why do you care so much what you study, you’re going to be a mom.”

I was told that all I needed to do was go to college so I could meet my LDS husband and make babies. That’s it. That was my only “purpose” in life

It’s all about how you are interpreting it. You can do both, but what is being a good mother so negative? It is much more difficult than any career so it is a huge accomplishment.

The advice was sound. I’ve been an attorney for 30+ years. It would have been a privilege to be an educated stay at home mom.

I think it's the parents fault. Teach your children to think for themselves, not to follow every piece of advice given. Because you can't follow all of it. Do what works for you.

Get an education so they get more of your tithing money. The more money you earn the more tithing goes into their horrific cult through tithing of your money

Women at BYU are absolutely being discouraged from pursuing medical degrees, law degrees, PHDs etc, by their BYU COLLEGE ADVISORS who are on the payroll of THE CHURCH. They could end this BS tomorrow with punitive action, but they don't. Why? Cuz they love it.
