It's because walking doesn't increase hunger the way running or HIT does, so you can burn calories and not eat extra food for recovery!

Interesting for probably the last 10 days I’ve been walking at least 6000 steps more a day and I’ve gained 4 pounds 😭

I do a 3 mile walk every day and Pilates once a week. On top of portion controlling my food, I’ve last 16 lbs so far

Walking is so much easier on my body. I have hashimotos, fibromyalgia and endometriosis. I do throw in some weights and Pilates as well

I started walking regularly when I started my calorie deficit. It's been the only exercise that I want to do and can do consistently.

💯💯💯 Rest is the opposite of activity, do anything exhausting, demanding rest- to improve fitness? Sure. But to increase total cal-out? 2 steps forward, 1 step back, or worse.

Personally I would get headaches ( prob dehydration) when I ran/ strength trained heavy before work it was hard to concentrate at work bc I also was tired. Walking doesn’t do this / light strength so

I’m so glad I found this cuz I have been feeling like that’s my problem altogether when all I know is high intensity, from Army to lifting heavy. I can’t keep with it anymore. I gotta get back to it

YES YES YES. My BF always tells me to do high intensity, but I feel like my womanly, high cortisol body has done that and it did the reverse. Low intensity and squats is best for me.
