Minecraft made its first apperance to me when it released on ios lite in 2011. I was only 9 years old. Minecraft made its first apperance to me when it released on ios lite in 2011. I was only 9 years old. I remember playing on the worlds and not closing off because you couldn't save your world on the free version. Eventually, I was allowed to buy the full version (I believe it was 8$) and I played it all the time. I remember building houses and finding "hacks" to get unlimited diamond glitches. I accident burnt down my wooden house bc I was building a trap for a safe with lava, I cried and rebuilt it all from memory. That world is trapped in my unlockable ipod unfortunately, memories perserved. When I eventually got a computer, minecraft was an obvious first choice. I played it every single day after school. Hunger games, survival, creative, skywars, the works. It was clockwork. It was simple, easy, fun. Eventually I tried to download mods (really downloaded ransomware) and that computered got locked up like a safe. After that, I would eventually get my xbox and play minecraft there. I played mostly alone. Not many of my friends had an xbox so I settled. It was fun there too. Eventually I'd switch over to the ps4 and finally played with some friends. I was always a builder, cutting down forest after forest, but I always replanted them. l've always felt weird about cutting down trees in Minecraft, I have to replant them. Those worlds still exist, with my animals waiting for my return, bless them. I remember I took a long break from my ps4 world after I flew into an unloaded mountain with my elytra and died miles away from my house, I was livid. Recently I saved up to buy a new PC, and I don't think anyone of you would be suprised that my first purchase was Minecraft. It was a full circle moment, seeing "Java Edition" boot up again for the first time in almost a decade. I say all this to say that "minecraft nostalgia" is real for me, and its real for so many of us that grew up on this game. I truly mean it when I say this game was my childhood. I like to think back on those times now, when I'm overworked with college and work. Of a little boy in front of a computer screen, with limitless possibilities in a world of his making. #fyp #foryou #Minecraft #childhood
