Delta didn’t just damage an item. Nearly four months ago, they damaged my medically necessary power wheelchair — and with it, my mobility. Their own contracted specialist confirmed the chair is severely damaged and unsafe, then withdrew from the repair. Since then: no repair, no plan, no timeline, and no medically appropriate replacement. Four months. For most people, this would mean losing the use of their legs overnight — and being told to “wait.” For me, this isn’t a comparison. It’s my daily reality. Every single day without a safe wheelchair means losing independence, basic function, and control over my own life — and relying on others for things most people take for granted. I am disabled. This wheelchair is not baggage. It is my mobility, my independence, and my ability to function. A formal complaint has been filed with the U.S. Department of Transportation. Delta — how long is a disabled passenger expected to live without basic mobility before you act? This should never happen to anyone.

Medical discrimination.. I had to basically PROVE my medical condition/need for a wheelchair because I don’t “look” like I need a wheelchair.. what tf ? I have strokes. Literally JUST had a surgery less than 6 months ago in a stroke facility.
