Thank you, so many people walking their dogs in this heat, it's frustrating, my 2 love walks, but I love them more to not kill them, if they need the toilet I have a garden that's shaded they can use.

The fact in 2024 we still have to make people aware is mind blowing! Your dog won’t die waiting until the evening for a walk.

always put my hand or feet on pavement if hot stay in simple go out later like 7pm up woods but I try get them out 7am always test every 15 mins if it getting warm they go home

I only walk my german shepherd's in the summer if there near water where they can get in and cool off. otherwise it's an early or late walk when cooler

I walk my dogs in fields, as they are black I get very worried they will overheat. I take water with me but they don’t drink it half the time

It’s not just their paws black and tanned dog and bull dog breed are prone to heat stroke. As a German shepherd owner we don’t take him out when it’s hot. Ps he’s spoilt and has his own pool
