An inversion table is a great tool for decompressing your spine in the comfort of your own home. We recently filmed a step-by-step video guide, talking about exactly how to use this particular table, the Teeter Table. In the video, we talk through how to use the table properly, who it is suitable for, safety demos as well as demonstrating how it can be used to provide targeted decompression to the lower back. For those with Back Pain: These tables are designed to gently stretch the spine, allowing for increased space between the vertebrae. This decompression helps to relieve pressure on the discs, nerves, and surrounding structures, resulting in reduced pain and helps with recovery. For those with no back pain: It is a brilliant tool you can use as a preventative! To elevate the normal stresses and strains placed on the spine during the day, we always say to our members think of these things as: Spinal Hygiene! Did you know? Research studies have shown the effectiveness of inversion therapy in relieving back pain. One study published in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science found that participants who used inversion therapy experienced a significant reduction in their back pain compared to those who did not. Another study published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation reported that inversion therapy improved spine flexibility and reduced the need for surgery in individuals with chronic low back pain. Pretty cool. To check out the full video, head over to our youtube channel.
