@gracehowland_: ‼️ If you are traveling into the U.S. from an international destination, this is going to save you potentially hours of time going through customs. I don’t know why this isn’t advertised more because every time I have used it I’ve made it through customs in less than 10 minutes while everyone else is waiting in those massively long customs lines. Save this post for the next time you are traveling internationally and follow me for more travel tips and everything I learn as I travel world this year. This is the MPC (Mobile Passport Control) application. It is FREE and does not require any type of pre-approval. It was developed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and it’s designed to streamline the traveler’s entry process into the United States. Here’s how it works: 1️⃣Eligible travelers download the MPC app from the app store. 2️⃣Create a profile with your passport or LPR card info. You can do this ahead of time or when you land. 3️⃣Upon arrival, select your mode of entry in the application (usually airline for me!) 4️⃣You take a selfie and answer a series of CBP inspection-related questions (the same ones you always answer on the paper forms). You can do this while taxiing or getting off the plane. 5️⃣Once you submit the info through the app, you bring your physical passport to a CBP officer to finalize the inspection for entry into the US. People who use the MPC app will no longer have to complete a paper form. 🙌🏼The best part a major time saver is, you are almost always provided a designated MPC que. If you don’t see a sign for it, ask an airport employee and they will tell you where to go. Even the time spent with the customs agent is shorter because they already have your info through the app. Use of MPC does not require pre-approval. It is available to U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, Canadian B1/B2 citizen visitors, and returning Visa Waiver Program travelers with approved ESTA. It’s currently available at most major airports in the U.S. Don’t forget to follow @grace_escapes_ for more travel tips!! #traveltips #travelhacks #internationaltravel #internationalflights #flyingtips #fulltimetravel #flyinghacks #tipsforflying #internationaltraveltips #travelmistakes #travelmistakestoavoid
