I see both sides of this. However the way I see it is if an employee can still do their job efficiently and correctly it shouldn’t be a big deal.

I worked at a call center that said we could color, knit, whatever…it was great for anxiety. I’d be being yelled at on the phone while crocheting a blanket. It definitely took the edge off.

I crochet all the time and I work at a gas station. Customers come in and ask me what I’m working on and my manager has no problem with it as long as everything is done.

as someone who works at a register and crochets in between customers I totally understand this. I do however make sure to do all of my tasks before crocheting. and stop immediately when theres ppl.
