I love Sci-Fi but don't really care for dystopian Sci-Fi. Like I love Star Trek and Star Wars but don't care for Dune. I feel like that's my issue with PotA movies.

Yes, that trilogy is quite good! However, (and excuse me for being the old guy in the room) but the original 1968 "Planet of the Apes" is a GREAT.
