This is not ford fault in my opinion I work at a lube shop and I’ve seen plenty of people crack the filter housing or even the piece tht holds the filter. People like to take impact drills to it.

That filter housing on those trucks are a sealed unit. So you change the filter the whole unit is changed out. If you have a 2021 with the original fuel filters in it. I’d recommend changing them out.

Most of the ones I have seen do this, have usually been due to waiting too long on service intervals for those fuel filters. Once a year or maximum 15,000 miles.

Never seen a motorcraft filter crack, typically the cracked filters I’ve seen are all aftermarket
