POP will soak d water from leakage and when it becomes heavy, the whole ceiling fall. This happens often. With plasterboard, the leakage will show, and all you do is cut the place & patch it.

as an instaler of both types, i would route for plaster board, reason been that if there is@ leakage on the ceiling, it can be spoted on time

I do both plasterboard and pop ceiling… both have their advantage and disadvantage… plasterboard designs mostly depend on how the metal work is done or the 2x2 work is done . It follows the shape

but wen it keep so long it destroyed the ceiling ,and for plasterboard when the leakage comes it damages the screws and the paper around the board

While pop ceiling either the ceiling is plat or not , you can use the pop design to create anything you want and pop ceiling can be done on concret surface but plasterboard u need ceiling joints

if leakage come in p.o.p celling ,u will see signs at the patilar area it coming from and u will trace it and get the roofing repair
