I can see how it would be impressive in the arctic circle with no light pollution, but watching faint pink streaks above the local Morrisons didn't quite hit the same 🤣

Your eyes don't adjust to the light levels like the cameras do!! Close your eyes for a few minutes before looking, and avoid looking at other lights and it'll look much better to the eye!

Very different in Iceland and Arctic Norway. Seeing them in those places was unreal. Last night, very very faint

I want to know if it’s more impressive in Iceland and Finland, because if it is, I’m way less annoyed I missed it whilst in a train home

My eyes were amazing during last night - Doncaster lit up. You just had to look up long enough let your eyes adjust

my craziest experience with northern lights was when it was so bright the snow started glowing bright green. and the whole sky was green with white and purple stripes running through it. was amazing. did not have camera on me

I'm in a dark sky zone, they're white almost smoke like whisps of light dancing through the sky. When it gets strong the pink hues can be seen by eye. Was only active like that between 11pm and 12am.

You speak some truth, but the further you are from any light (I mean you have to be in absolute darkness) to see the Northern Lights at their full magic.
