when i was in school, touching teachers was NEVER a thing in any type of way. end of year we would chill & definitely have connections. However as the AUTHORITY, boundaries should remain permanent.

I was super awkward in primary school because of my anxiety. I had a male teacher who recognised that and he treated me differently and I did well in his class. we're still in touch to this day
