It really depends on how and when the interest is calculated it would be possible that his way would reduce the principal a little before the interest is calculated for the month saving him money

Yes but that extra payment doesn’t come from no where, you are still paying an extra payment which you could do at anytime and put towards principal only

Thats why i have my credit union take my truck payment every friday. It comes out to having about 13 months worth of mayment in a year.

Uh, no? Biweekly payments achieve this, but not splitting the monthly payment in 2 and paying half twice a month doesn’t do this.
