@girlnextdoorhoney: #AD Most people know that the queen bee is important, but did you know that we can also think of her as the mother of her colony? She is responsible for laying all the eggs in the hive and may lay as many as 1,000 eggs a day. This Mother’s Day, I am teaming up with @nationalhoneyboard to celebrate the mighty mama queen bee alongside all our own lovely moms, step-moms and mom-like figures. Just like our own mothers, the queen honey bee encourages and supports her children. Her pheromones keep the hive running smoothly and together they create something magical… honey!
