People have gone as far as believing that the mark of the beast is like an RIFD chip implanted in the hand or the forehead. Others believe that it is a physical mark the likes of something that they would be stamped or tattooed with. To find the right answer we need to study the bible and look at Exodus 13:9 and compare it with Revelation 13:16. In Exodus God mentions to Moses to observe a festival in remembrance of their exodus out of Egypt. So the festival is the mark on their forehead and on their hand because it is a reminder of their belief and of their obedience through their action to the jurisprudence of God. Same applies for Revelation. The Beast forces all people great or small, rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark.
