🤔How Much PROTEIN Can You ABSORB At Once⁉️Read👇🏼 The previous understanding was that you HAD to evenly spread out your daily protein target across multiple meals 🍳🍔🌯🥪🍱 With the amount being around 0.3 to 0.5g of protein per kg of bodyweight per meal/serving… The reasoning for this was this was enough to spike muscle protein synthesis 📈 At which point the “muscle full effect“ came into play and your muscles were then resistant to any further MPS stimulation for a few hours… Newer research (Trommelen, 2023) which tested people ingesting 100g of protein post-workout showed that this was NOT true! 🤯 Compared to the 25g protein post-workout group, the MPS response was both heightened and prolonged for several hours after ingesting 100g! 💪🏼 So intermittent fasting and OMAD protocol followers this MAY be a saving grace 🥳 but it’d be great to see a study giving 100g protein WITHOUT training first!
