I have done it.. Ordered food late at night. 23$ food. No one accepted it for 40 mins.. Turned my Doordash driver app on. Accepted the order for $11 after an hour.. food was cold by the time I got home.. Messaged doordash and got refund for food.

i used to do this when i doordashed! i would place my order without a tip (in case it gets sent to someone else they decline it cuz it’s too low) and sit by the reatruant i ordered at.

I have done it before on DoorDash tho but you have to be near the restaurant to get the order it’s a hit or miss but worth it if it’s close!

So let’s say you pay a 100 for food plus 10 for delivery. Then you pick it up as a delivery guy and get 10 minus what Uber benefits. So you pay 100 plus Uber benefits. Why not go and order directly?

They’re connected so you won’t get your own order. Also selecting pickup reduces Uber fees significantly, so u can pickup ur own food and save the money but you can’t pickup your own delivery order. Also base pay is $2. Most of the pay comes from tips.
