I use to work at panda and I would get in so much trouble for over pouring. I was never stingy with the food.

where i live we have a local buffet and they do togo, there i can get twice the portion of the exact same thing that panda has for only 8 bucks. And it tastes better

Most restaurants it’s based on a weight. There’s a limit to where they start to lose money. So if it affects their P&L they will manage it. If trained correctly the portions should be consistent.

It is not the employees they do as the company tells them or they get punished. I worked and subway and when a customer asked for extra veggies we were only allowed to put 3 pieces when they asked
