Regarding "clock math", I've been doing "calendar math" for decades. Every day, as I finish up work, I remind myself I'm one more day closer to retirement than I was that morning.

My job literally involves using 30 minute increments of time to get certain items processed so I’ve clock gamed the hell out of it. Best job I’ve ever worked because I’m finally retaining some sanity
